Happy 2012!

Happy 2012, and a big thanks for all the support we got in 2011, it was a HUGE year! Counting down the days till we head North, back to Cairns! Really looking forward to 2012, and blogging regularly will be something I plan on doing.

Cairns Trip!

A little while back I got a surprise email from my best mate (Mike) in the UK, saying he was getting married and flying me up to France to be his wedding photographer (OK that last part is a lie, how cool would that have been though??) Anyways that was a shock in itself, but the next part was an even bigger surprise – they had purchased around the world tickets, and one of the countries was OZ!

We decided that it was best to meet up in Cairns as this made the most sense as we could drive up to Cairns, and with two kids your options get limited, but we love Cairns so we were on board. (Oh did I mention the last time I’d seen Mike was almost 9 years ago??)

Mike hired out Gaia Beach house, which was to be our home for the next five days……

This Sugar Mill is a prominent feature of Tully, strange that it is right next door to a school…

Lucky enough to catch a picture of this bird of prey (can you see the two fish it has in its talons?)

Naomi and Andrew’s wedding

Wow it’s been crazy over the last few weeks with weddings, hence my lack of posts! I am also leaving for Thailand in just over a week so things are pretty crazy at the moment!!

Below are just a few images from Naomi and Andrew’s wedding, the ceremony was at Queens Gardens, with most of the location photos taken at Pallerenda.

When I got there I saw that they had back burned the vegetation, Naomi and Andrew were not impressed to say the least! I’m sure at the end of the day they are still going to love their images!

I also did Naomi and Andrews pregnancy photos, which were also taken at Pallerenda, I’ll put up a post soon….

Some images taken on the day….

Examples of bad photoshop editing

I was doing a little bit of research, when a title caught my eye “awfully photoshopped wedding. I found it quite amusing (and very tasteful NOT)

Simone and Stuart’s wedding

I photographed Simone and Stuart’s wedding a few weeks ago now, the wedding was the first of three I had in a row!

It was a huge week, but I’m on top of all editing now – just in time too, as I have four weddings this month.

I recognised Simone, but couldn’t quite place her, turns out I shot her friends wedding!

Here are a few from the day….

The reception was at the Watermark…
