Investment = Fancy way of saying Price List! – ok, so you’re after some fantastic photography but what’s it worth? Do you choose a photographer based on price alone?
I have heard of people having bad experiences with photographers, sometimes I think people have unrealistic expectations, other stories I totally side with the “client”
(That’s why Stella Photography Guarantees their work)
Buying an DSLR, and getting some business cards printed up, and having had a “bit of shooting experience” doesn’t qualify you as a professional photographer, neither though does it mean that you are guaranteed certain results because a photographer has 10 years experience, or is a member of AIPP, or other professional organizations.
This is why the word “Investment” is relative. When you book a professional photographer, you’re getting their knowledge/skills/experience etc.
When choosing a photographer, choose a photographer that:
consistently produces images that you like (style)
offers you a package or product that you are after (Images on a disk as an example)
you resonate with
